    Modern technology may increase ease of use. But when it comes to choosing a film, some of us love the tried and tested way. Express yourself with all your senses - look, touch, feel, interact with fellow members, our team and also our movies!

    Clixflix owns and operates 7 Walk In Stores in Mumbai and her extended suburbs. You can walk in, browse through our catalogue, check out the synopses of films, make reservations, and most importantly walk out with a film IMMEDIATELY!!! We'll go one further and pick up your borrowed titles the following day FREE!!! For store locations, please refer to our Contact Us.

  • How does the online DVD/VCD club work ?

    Online DVD / VCD clubs are a tried and tested concept around the world. The concept offers an economy of scale and convenience like never before. The online service encourages you to have your own little library of 1 to 2 rotating titles with you at any time so that entertaining yourself does not require a schedule.

    Our service effectively allows you to queue up movies in your own personalized queue at your convenience whenever you find the time to browse our site. Our catalogue allows you to search for titles and view them along the parameters of Title Name, Cover Art, Cast, Director, Writer, Producer, Genre, Synopsis, Language, Subtitles, Running Time, Format and Year of Release. What's more, we encourage you to bring the film buff in yourself to the fore. You can post a review for every title online and read reviews by other movie buffs.

    Once you commence your membership, we ship title(s) to you on the basis of your queue and availability and have them picked up also. You may choose to have your titles delivered and picked up from your office or home if you prefer. Our service area covers the city of Mumbai and her extended suburbs up to Vasai on the Western line, Belapur on the Harbour line and Thane on the Central line.

    The service allows you to request a movie from the convenience of your location and have the movie shipped to you and picked up from you FREE! On becoming a member, you make selections from the Movies Section by clicking on the Add button of the titles you want to watch. You must create a personal membership queue of at least 15 titles so that we always have something to send you. Once you are done, you can relax, we will ship you the titles from your membership queue after successfully charging your payment method for the refundable security and first month membership fees and taxes, if applicable. On receiving the title(s), you have anywhere between 3 to 7 days to watch them at your convenience and with no Late Fees.

    When you are done watching your title(s), its time to exchange them for new ones. To receive your next title(s), you must inform us in any 1 of 3 ways - by sending an sms FLIX PU to 7575 OR an email to courier@clixflix.com or by clicking on the link "Pick up my movie & send me another" located on your home page after signing in.

    We will send you your next title(s) at the time of picking up the previous one(s) from you. All deliveries / pick-ups / exchanges are executed the following day between 10 am and 6 pm with the exception of Sunday.   • Can I pay by cheque?

    Clixflix accepts payment by cheque in favour of 'Clixflix Entertainment (I) Pvt. Ltd.' for all membership plans. We offer you the flexibility at the time of registering online or offline to tell us your date of payment. Prior to calling on you for payment, we will reconfirm with you telephonically the time, date and venue of collection. We issue you a 'Temporary Receipt' subject to realization at the time of picking up your payment. Upon realisation of the cheque, we will deliver you your original receipt.   • Which credit cards does Clixflix accept?

    We encourage the use of electronic payment instruments (credit/debit card or net banking facility) to avoid unnecessary paper work. Clixflix accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB and Citibank E-Cards. Please email customerservice@clixflix.com for more information.

  • How safe is it to use my credit or debit card online? How secure is my personal information?

    Online payments are processed through an online payment gateway system. You need not worry about your credit / debit card or net banking information falling into the wrong hands because your bank will authorize the transaction directly without any information passing through us. In approximately 25-30 seconds (depending on your internet connection) your bank will issue via the online payment gateway an authorization code and confirmation of completion of transactions. Clixflix uses the latest encryption technology and other methods to protect your credit card information. You can place your orders using Netscape's SSL encryption (the Internet standard for secure transactions). In fact, paying online with a credit card at Clixflix is even safer than using a credit card at a restaurant because we do not retain your credit card information. You can be assured that Clixflix offers you the highest standards of security currently available on the internet so as to ensure that your viewing experience is private, safe and secure.

  • What are the terms of my current membership level?

    You can check using the "Terms Of Use" link at the bottom of our Home Page.

  • What is my next payment date?

    The renewal of your membership is determined by the plan you have opted for. Membership plans which are quantity based are due for renewal on exhaustion of your limit. In the case of monthly membership plans, your first subscription fee is billed at the beginning of your subscription. Visit your "My Account" link to see your next renewal date. In the event your membership began on a day not contained in a given month, your next renewal date will be on the last day of such month. For example, if you became a member on January 31st, your next renewal date will be February 28th.

  • How do I exchange my title(s) for new ones if I have an online membership plan?

    To receive your next title(s), you must inform us before 5 pm in any 1 of 3 ways - by sending an sms FLIX PU to 7575; or an email to courier@clixflix.com ; or by clicking on the link " Pick up my movie & send me another " located on the "My Account" section under the subheading "Queue Activity". All exchanges / deliveries / pick-ups are executed the following day between 10 am and 6 pm. We do not deliver or pick-up on Sunday. Hence all requests for exchanges received after 5pm on a Friday till 5pm on a Sunday are executed on Monday.

  • How do I change my e-mail address, password, personal details or shipping address?

    You can edit all the personal information we hold for you in the "My Account" section by clicking on "Edit Profile". All updated information will take effect at the completion of your current billing cycle and commencement of your next billing cycle.   • My membership was suspended due to a billing problem. How can I restart my membership?

    In the event of your membership being suspended due to a billing problem, the billing system will automatically mail you and inform you. You must then contact admin@clixflix.com to re-activate your account.

  • What If I can't find a title or the title I want is unavailable?

    We stock several thousand titles and continually update our inventory. If you want to watch a title that we do not carry, please let us know and we will try to acquire it, but we can't guarantee it. Titles are shipped to members in order of priority. If a particular title on your membership queue is currently out or unavailable, we ship the next available disc on your membership queue. We ask that all members keep at least 30 titles in their Membership Queue at all times. Some titles, especially newly released titles, are in heavy demand and there may be some wait till you get them.

  • Why are some titles not available on DVD?

    The decision to release a specific movie on DVD is solely in the hands of the film studios. We can only stock what has been officially released.

  • Why should I rate / review titles?

    When you rate / review a film, everybody wins. Other members can see how good a title is, we get to understand what films you like, and you get recommendations from us tailored to your tastes!

    We have recently launched the 'Clixflix Club' online. Through this feature, you can invite existing members as well as friends (non-members) to join the Club.You'll can view the queues, ratings, reviews of all friends in YOUR Club

  • The DVD / VCD I requested will not play. What should I do?

    Try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth. If the disc is still unplayable, it could be a faulty disc or a compatibility issue. Please contact customerservice@clixflix.com .

  • How do you refund my security deposit and how long does it take?

    We refund your security deposit after ensuring all outstanding charges applicable have been processed. We issue a cheque in the name of the member as appears at the time of registration within fifteen working days. The cheque will be couriered to the billing address as provided at the time of registration or as last appended prior to the commencement of your last billing cycle.

  • I'm having trouble logging in. What should I do?

    If you have forgotten your password, please sign in with your username and click on the link "Forget Password". Your new password will be emailed to you immediately. Should experience any further difficulties, please email customerservice@clixflix.com for any assistance that you may require.

  • I know my password, but I'm s till having trouble logging in. What should I do?

    You may have a problem with cookies on your computer. You may experience problems if you are using a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), which restricts the use of cookies (text files) by our web site. If you are using IE6 you will have to allow a 'low level' or 'unrestricted' use of cookies in the Privacy option. In your browser, click on "Tools", "Internet Options" and then "Privacy". Move the slider to "Low" or "Accept All Cookies". Once our 'cookie' has been placed on your computer, you will be able to revert to your original 'privacy' settings.   • Is my Internet browser compatible with Clixflix?

    Our website is compatible with most Internet browsers. Browsers that we know are not fully compatible are:

  • What is an Aspect Ratio?

    The relationship between the width of a film image and its height is known as its aspect ratio, and from the early days of film until the early-1950s, almost all films had a standard aspect ratio of 1.33:1. In other words, the film image was 1.33 times as wide as it was tall (another way to denote this is 4x3, meaning 4 units of width for every 3 of height). This is the same shape as the conventional TV screen. Today, widescreen dominates filmmaking in a variety of aspect ratios. But there are two ratios that are by far the most common: Academy Flat (1.85:1) and Anamorphic Scope (2.35:1). In the case of Academy Flat, the film is 1.85 times as wide as it is tall. Anamorphic Scope is even wider, 2.35 times as wide as it is tall.

  • What is Anamorphic Widescreen? Do I need a widescreen TV to view these DVDs?

    Anamorphic widescreen is a special feature of a DVD that enables the video on the disc to be displayed at a higher resolution. If a widescreen film is recorded on DVD in the anamorphic format, a Digital TV can "unsqueeze" the video image contained on the disc, so that it fills the full width of the TV screen, while retaining a high vertical resolution. You can view these DVDs if you don't have a widescreen TV, but ensure that the DVD player is set to standard "4x3" TV mode. The DVD player will then display the picture, letterboxed, with black bars top and bottom.

  • Many DVDs have Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks. Will they work with my TV/DVD player?

    Many DVDs offer a choice of sound formats including Dolby Digital and DTS (Digital Theater Systems). The sound is encoded on the DVD so you will need a decoder to experience the full surround sound effect. However, all DVD players will deliver conventional stereo sound without a decoder.

  • I've lost the return envelope and/or the protective case. How do I return my title(s)?

    It is your responsibility to ensure the DVD is adequately packaged for transit. If you have lost the protective case as well as the sleeve, please email courier@clixflix.com . Any damages occurring to the disc when in your possession will be chargeable and adjusted against your refundable security deposit.

  • I've lost a DVD or VCD. What should I do?

    We regret we'll need to charge you for the title(s). Please email courier@clixflix.com for additional information or call us on +91 22 28916500.

  • I have damaged a DVD or VCD. What should I do?

    We regret we'll need to charge you for the disc. Please email courier@clixflix.com for additional information or call us on +91 22 28916500.

  • According to my queue, a disc has been dispatched to me but I have not received it. What should I do?

    Our shipping services ordinarily deliver the following day provided your request for a pick-up / delivery has been made before 5 pm the previous day. In exceptional circumstances however our shipping service can take up to 2 days if there is a breakdown in the local public transport infrastructure. If your order appears to be delayed, simply notify us by email courier@clixflix.com or call us on +91 22 28916500 and we will be happy to investigate further.

  • What should I do if I receive the wrong title?

    Clixflix is supported with a high end customized software so the probability of receiving the wrong title is highly unlikely; however if it does happen please contact email courier@clixflix.com or call us on 64520000.

  • What care should be taken while handing discs?

    Clixflix asks that all members handle all discs with care. We ask that you to take some simple precautions and exercise basic care & handling to help us maintain the usage of the discs. Please handle the disc by its outer edge to prevent fingerprints on the surface of the disc, since it can cause the disc to freeze or jump. If you notice any fingerprints on the surface take a soft cloth and wipe the surface gently. DO NOT use any type of solution on the disc. Never keep discs in direct sunlight or heat. Keep discs away from radiators, heaters, hot equipment surfaces, direct sunlight, pets, small children, and other destructive forces. Always keep the discs in its protective sleeve when not in use. Don't bend the disc when taking it out of the case, and be careful not to scratch the disc when placing it in the case or in the player tray. Ensure your disc is returned in its protective sleeve before inserting it into the courier envelope.
